Privacy statement
Possible Lives. Last updated 14 October 2026.
Who is responsible
Everydaylives SRL (VAT BE 0723.477.567), Rue du Cerf 231, 1332 Genval, Belgium, runs Possible Lives and is responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact siamack@everydaylives.com.
What we collect and why
- What you put into the app: the objects and choices you study, context, observations, quotes, transcripts and photographs. We store them so you can work with them, and send them for analysis when you ask for it.
- Suggestions you send: your message and, if you choose to give them, your name and email address, so we can read your suggestion and reply.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and browser storage that keeps unsaved work on your device. Both are needed for the app to work, so we do not ask for cookie consent. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
We process this data to provide the service you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sensitive information
Cases can include sensitive details about the people you study. Remove names and identifying details of participants from transcripts and observations before adding them, and add only what the work needs.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the app and stores your data.
- Anthropic, PBC runs the AI analysis. When you ask the app to look something up, Anthropic runs web searches using text describing it; photographs are never posted to the web.
Both are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the company is certified, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Cases stay until they are deleted. The server keeps a daily backup copy for thirty days. Suggestions stay until we delete them, and we delete them once they have been dealt with.
During the test phase
While Possible Lives is being tested, each tester signs in with a personal code and works in a private space: other testers cannot see your cases. Keep your code to yourself, since anyone who has it can open your space. As the people running the app, we have technical access to stored data and use it only to fix a problem you report. Sign-in with your own account will replace personal codes before the app opens to the public.
The Commons
If you choose to share a card to the Commons, everyone signed in to Possible Lives can read it, under the name you give it. Only what you see on the card before publishing is shared, never your evidence, transcripts or anything else in your case. You can remove your own cards at any time, and we can remove any card.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how it is used. The Your data page in the app already lets you export everything. Contact siamack@everydaylives.com for anything else. You also have the right to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données).
Organisations
Organisations that put their own research or customer data into Possible Lives are responsible for that data, and we handle it on their behalf under a data processing agreement.
